Mandarin Club

@ Dear Chinese friends,

How are you! Our church has started a special gathering, known as Mandarin Club (q话联谊会). It is held once every two months. Its aim is:

  1. Getting to know one another for Chinese who come from different backgrounds

  2. As  vehicle to promote care and support for one another

There have been many Chinese who speak Mandarin in the town and often they just pass one another by without being able to talk; perhaps they find it too embarrassing to initiate a conversation, having to stop on the street. A few of us in the church have thus held a Mandarin Club to cater for such a need. Although we are from the church, the Mandarin Club is not about church service or worship and therefore do not have a religious format when it is taking place. Everyone can brings an activity to it or they can share their personal experience about life. Our next gathering is to be on 25th of July (Saturday) at 6:00 pm and it is held in a large room within the church, the Lower Lounge. We usually start with a simple meal. You are welcome to join, even as a stranger for the first time.
